Thank You Blog with the Bertucci's - December 2022

Yes, the days of 2022 are flying by!  (and I'm just getting used to writing 2022!). Have you made your New Year's Resolutions yet?  One of your resolutions could be to view my blog on the second Monday of each month of 2023.  In addition to seeing my post, you'll be able to visit the monthly blogs of Stampin' Up!© Demonstrators from around the world who are participating in the hop offered by Bruno and Kylie Bertucci.

I used the set to create my Thank You cards that will be sent out to my customers thanking them for purchasing through me.  I send the card, unsigned, to allow my customer to use the card to meet their special greeting card needs.

I found the collection so versatile, I also used them to create the following cards -- birthday cards, seasonal cards, and of course thank you cards.

The above cards were created using the same design, only the sentiments were changed.  While, the picture below shows a card with different Designer Series Paper (DSP) and a different design. The stamp sets as well as dies allow you to created dozens of different cards.  I love it when my purchase can be used in so many different ways!  Don't you? 

Please note that the Christmas sentiment stamp set and designer paper will no longer be available at the end of December.  In fact, some items in the collection are already sold out! Time to say "Thanks"

It's Thanksgiving...a time to say Thanks.

Thanksgiving is a holiday for us to express appreciation to our family and friends for being a part of our life.  And it's a special day for giving thanks for the blessings we've received, enjoying a delicious meal together, and of course, watching football!  It's also a time to send cards to friends and family to let them know your are thinking of them on this special holiday.   

Demonstrators share their cards each month on this blog hop which is provided by Bruno and Kylie Bertucci through their Demonstrator Training Program.  

The blog hop offers you beautiful stamping ideas and creative inspiration from over 40 Stampin' Up! International Demonstrators.  Each month this blog hop focuses on creating cards thanking our customers for their support.  

We, Demonstrators, participate in the training program provided by the Bertucci's to help us build a successful Stampin' Up! business and to reach some goals we have set for ourselves.  We really appreciate your support.

My cards shown below were made using the Designer Series paper contained in the HOST pack found in the Fall 2022 Mini Catalog page 87 titled "Celebrate Everything".  In addition, I used card stock in colors Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Early Expresso, and Crushed Curry.  The sentiment is from the Apple Harvest Stamp Set ( # 159944) on page 54 in the Fall 2022 Mini Catalog.  For embellishments, I used ribbon from my stash and Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels in various sizes.

The Designer Paper I chose does not use the traditional blended Fall colors but rather brings a more bold festive look to the cards.  Living in Florida, I find that our leaves do not change to beautiful golds and reds, so it's fun to bring those bold colors to our cards.  

The style of the card is very simple and can easily be adopted for any celebration...just change the Designer Series Paper and match with coordinating card stock.  

Changing the sentiment will help with changing this card into a fun, easy birthday card. 

Directions to make the card:  The Base of the card is cut to 5 1/2 X 4 1/8 inches and is set in a vertical format.  The first layer is card stock cut to 5 1/4 X 4 inches. The Designer Series Paper size is 5 X 3 3/4 inches and becomes the third layer.  The card stock belly band measures 5 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches.  The sentiment is stamped on Basic White card stock in Early Expresso and is matted by a color that matches the Designer Series Paper.  I used the double oval punch and dimensionals to give some depth.  Very thin ribbon with gold trim were made into tiny bows.  In place of the bows, I added basic jewels to give the sparkle.

 It's been a year...

The Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Blog Hop is created through the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Training Program provided by Bruno and Kylie Bertucci. In October 2021, I began their training program which includes opportunities to participate in the blog. Each month over 40 Stampin' Up!© Demonstrators from throughout the world participate in the blog hop which showcases their beautiful stamping ideas and creative inspiration from the Stampin' Up! International Demonstrators.  

We, Demonstrators, participate in this training program to help us build a successful Stampin' Up! business and to reach some goals we have set for ourselves.  We really appreciate your support.

Each month this blog showcases cards which focus on thanking our customers for their support.  Demonstrators sharing their paper crafting tips, ideas, and beautiful cards.  This month is the conclusion of this year's blog hops.  Starting in October, a new group of Demonstrators will be participating in the 2022 - 2023 Blog Hop.  

During the year, I've posted cards made with my favorite Stampin' Up! stamp sets.  I also tried to offer some tips and techniques to help in your creating journey.  This month, I've chosen to highlight a die that can be used to create cards for any occasion.  As I need birthday cards (especially masculine ones),  I decided to include a birthday card as well as a Thank You sample, both of which use the same die.

The ASPEN TREE DIES • 159798 | $36.00 are found on page 46 in the 2022 Mini (Holiday) Catalog.  The dies are a part of the PERCHED IN A TREE BUNDLE *159799 | $53.00 which also includes the PERCHED IN A TREE stamp set *159791 | $23.00.  Using the Mini Catalog link found to the right, you can go to the 2022 Mini (Holiday) Catalog and see other samples of the stamp set and dies.

Using the die, several different colors of the trees can be cut and placed in your stash to use at a later time when you need a quick card. At that time, select the background Designer Series Paper representing the purpose for the card and choose the color of the trees to coordinate. Use the sentiment included in the stamp set (as shown above left) or one of your favorites to complete a beautiful card.

Steps to make a card begin with the card base. Select card stock that coordinates with the trees or use Basic White or Basic Black.  Cut the paper to measure 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches.  Fold the long end at 4 1/4 inches and hold the card vertically (portrait view).  

Then, cut the Designer Paper to 5 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches.  Glue the Designer Paper to the card base. (One other technique is to cut the Designer Paper a little larger, glue onto the card base, and then trim the Designer Paper to fit.)  

Next, trim the trees card stock sheet to fit over the Designer Paper and glue so the paper shows through the trees.  Add a sentiment and any extras (such as the leaves provided in the die set) to finish the card.

These pictures are close-ups of the leaves and background Designer Paper.  The leaf die not only cuts the leaf but also embosses it! The selection of the background card and paper used for the trees can give the card a unique mood.  Can you imagine how using gold or silver foil paper for the trees could change the look?

NEW MONTH - NEW PRODUCTS - NEW EVENTS

September brings NEWness into our lives... NEW school year, NEW College Football Season, NEW club meeting, NEW fast paced schedule as many of our activities resume, now that Summertime is over.
