Thank you Blog With the Bertucci's - August 2022

Saying farewell to Summer is always filled with mixed emotions.  Living in Florida, we're glad that the heat and humidity are lower, so we can enjoy our patios and front porches again.  It also means school is starting and the swimming pools, campgrounds, and vacation spots are closing.  They are replaced with soccer and football games and Harvest Festivals.   Fall brings the browns, golds, rich reds, and burnt orange colors  back into fashion and crafting. You'll find these colors in the cards presented throughout this blog hop.

This post is part of the Bruno and Kylie Bertucci's Stampin' Up!© Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop.

The Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Blog Hop is created through the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Training Program provided by Bruno and Kylie Bertucci.  The blog hop offers you beautiful stamping ideas and creative inspiration from over 40 Stampin' Up! International Demonstrators.

We, Demonstrators, participate in the training program provided by the Bertucci's to help us build a successful Stampin' Up! business and to reach some goals we have set for ourselves.  We really appreciate your support.

Each month this blog focuses on creating cards which focus on thanking our customers for their support.   My card below highlights the paper crafting we share with our customers and fellow demonstrators.  Using the Cheerful Basket stamp set found in the new 2022 Mini July to December Catalog includes three choices of items to "fill the basket".  The one below I chose is paper crafting supplies.  Isn't it great to send a card thanking friends for being our customers?  And I'm sure our fellow demonstrators will love receiving this card which highlights their crafting skills.

Other items that can "fill" the basket are apples and hearts.  This makes this stamp set perfect for Fall cards and Valentine cards (or any card filled with love).

The photo below hints at my using Stampin' Blends© and the Go to Greetings stamp set.  Stampin' Blends are perfect for coloring in the basket and cheerful cat.  I chose the golds, browns, and reds of Fall, but you could easily use blues, greens and bright yellows or other color combinations of your choice.  In addition, you could choose to add a favorite dog stamp instead or with the cheerful cat.  There are so many options to this stampset.

And speaking of options...the Go to Greetings stamp set, found in the 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalog, is full of options.  It provides favorite sentiments (Happy Birthday, Thinking of You, and Thank You) in three beautiful fonts and sizes.  This is a perfect stamp set to carry with you to all your crafting events.

Both of these stamp sets is a perfect combination of items to add to your next order.  And remember that just as Summer is ending, so is one of Stampin' Up!'s most popular events...Sale-a-Bration (SAB).  An order in the amount $50 or multiples (not including taxes and shipping) will allow you to select FREE products.  But you need to hurry to assure you get your favorite FREE SAB items!  Several of the products have already sold out!  As a result, Stampin' Up! released more products to be included in the Sale-a-Bration event. Click the link to the right that provides the SAB Catalog and information on the newly added items.

Using Your Stash --  Designer Series Paper

One of the things we all love about Stampin' Up!© Designer Series Paper (DSP) is that not only are they quality paper with gorgeous designs on both sides, but they coordinate with the Stampin' Up! ink pad, ribbon, and embellishments.  And the paper packages  coordinate with each other, even if they are from different catalogs!  And just as exciting is that some older discontinued packages coordinate with current ones!

In this post, I will be showing how two packages of Designer Paper work together to create four different cards as shown below:

My cards shown on this post are part of the Bruno and Kylie Bertucci's Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop.

Many of the Demonstrators will be using the new products found in the new 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalog and the  July - December 2022 Mini (Holiday) Catalog.

We, Demonstrators, participate in the training program provided by the Bertucci's to help us build a successful Stampin' Up! business and to reach some goals we have set for ourselves.  We really appreciate your support.

Although only being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for a couple of years, I have been stamping and scrapbooking for several years.  And anyone who has been paper crafting knows that you have tons of scraps and favorite papers that you "save" for that special project.  So you have lots of paper just waiting for your creativity to use them.

The cards shown in this post use Rings of Love paperback from the newly released July - December 2022 Mini Catalog and Sun Prints from the 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalog.

I'm sure you're already aware that the Designer Paper packages list the Stampin' Up! colors used in the package on the white cardstock sheet found at the back of the pack.  This is so useful in coordinating products, including other Designer Paper.  I found two unopened packages of the Sun Prints Designer Paper.  Although I love this paper pack, having two unopened packages means I need to use it!  I noticed one of the colors listed on the package is Night of Navy, one of my favorite colors.  So I searched some of the new packages of Designer Paper from the newly release July - December 2022 Mini Catalog and found Rings of Love.  Inside was the beautiful paper of bluebirds which uses Crushed Curry and Night of Navy cardstock.  Perfect!

These are the result:

In addition to the two Designer Papers, I also used Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, and Basic White cardstock.  The sentiment is from the stamp set, Soft Seedlings, from the newly released July - December 2022 Mini Catalog.

Try searching your packages of Designer Series Paper in your stash.  Hope they inspire you to create something new.  If you do create, please share!

Thank You Blog with the Bertucci's - June 2022

 Mistakes Generate Creativity

What does that mean?  Mistakes generate creativity.  Have you ever worked on a project and were just about finished and then... S-M-E-A-R...you find a smear on your project.  You have two options.  One, you can through it away and start over or two, you can "fix" it.  If it's a small item that didn't take you long, you probably would choose to trash it.  But, if you've worked on it for several hours, you'll be tempted to see what you can do to "hide" the mistake.

Sound familiar?  I was working on the cards below and then, I saw the SMEARS!   And on almost every card!  Somehow my inky fingers got on them or my block was not as clean as I thought.  And to make it worse, the color was Sweet Sorbet (RED)!   The worse!  So I opted to "fix" them. Luckily, the smears were at the top of the card, so I cut that part off, trimmed it, and matted it to Sweet Sorbet card stock. The results are the cards below. Mistakes generate creativity!  See one of my new creations below:

My cards below are part of the Bruno and Kylie Bertucci's Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop.

Many of the Demonstrators will be using the new products found in the new 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalog and the soon to be released, July - December 2022 Mini (Holiday) Catalog.

We, Demonstrators, participate in the training program provided by the Bertucci's to help us build a successful Stampin' Up! business and to reach some goals we have set for ourselves.  We really appreciate your support.

My cards shown below use the stamp set and dies from the Sending Smiles bundle from the 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalog.  I used some of the new In Colors along with some of my favorites to make the flowers.  The grass and leaves at the bottom were made with two of the stamps and two colors, Soft Succulent (2021 - 2023 In Color) and Parakeet Party (2022 - 2024 In Color).  The flowers were stamped with various flower stamps from and ink colors: Sweet Sorbet  (2022 - 2024 In Color), Crushed Curry, Fresh Freesia, and Blushing Bride.

The word "Sending" was stamped in Sweet Sorbet and then was cut out with a die from the bundle.  The "Thank You" comment was stamped with Starry Sky ink, another 2022-2024 In Color.

The stamp set has several nice stamps included in it.  First, there's several sentiments that go nicely with "Sending" such as "Smiles across the miles", "Love & Big Hugs", and "A card to say Hello" .  It also has several flowers like the ones on the card below.  I love stamp sets that offer several different ways to create cards.

Crop Crafting May - June 2022

 CROPPING WITH FRIENDS!

Part of the fun of paper crafting is going to crops with friends.  Some compare crops to "quilting bees" when women would meet at the church or someone's home to share their blocks of fabrics and sew them into clothing and linens.  They were often held to create special gifts for family or to celebrate special events.  Similarly we meet at crops to share out ideas and tools and create cards and scrapbook layouts.

The past few weeks, I have spent weekends at crops with friends crafting.  I shared some of my cards with friends and they've shared with me.  Below are some examples of their creations.

Stamp set used from the Hues of Happiness Suite pages 108 - 109 Stampin' Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.

Stamp set used is Ranunculus Romance found on page 97 of the 2022-2023 Stampin' Up Annual Catalog.

Great fun fold card!  This card uses a stamp set and Designer Papers that are retired.  Stampin' Up! products may retire from the catalog, but are classics that don't lose their beauty.

Don't you just love all the bright and beautiful colors!  Just looking at them makes me feel lifted and happy.

The new 2022 - 2023 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog is just filled with vibrant color ideas.  Please let me know if you'd like to receive a copy.  And don't forget you can still order from the January-June Mini Catalog...and possibly find some great bargains!  Items are selling out, so don't delay.  Last Day to buy is June 30.  Check the list by clicking the side button.

Enjoy the beginning of summer...90+ degrees here by 10 am.  And I think it's 99.9% humidity.  If you're outside is similar, enjoy being inside and CREATE!  Then post your creations and share with us.
