FRIDAY FANCY FOLD # 6
This Friday's Fancy Fold is super simple. There's very little stamping and die cutting. The beauty of the card is focused on the Designer Series Paper (DSP). In this card, the DSP is from the Guilded Autumn collection. But, the card is easily adapted to be a birthday card, a holiday card, or any occasion card with the selection of DSP and sentiment. Using masculine DSP could make this card perfect for a Father's Day card or a man's birthday card.
Start creating the card by cutting the following pieces:
Mint Macaroon Cardstock 5 1/2 inches X 4 1/4 inches
Mint Macaroon Cardstock 9 inches X 3 1/4 inches
score at 4 1/2 inches
Very Vanilla cardstock 5 1/4 inches X 4 inches
2 pieces Very Vanilla cardstock 4 1/4 inches X 3 inches
Guilded Autumn DSP 4 inches X 2 3/4 inches
Scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and scrap of Brushed Metallic copper foil sheet for sentiment and oval mat.
Glue the larger Very Vanilla piece on top of the Mint Macaroon piece (5 1/2 and 4 1/4 piece) forming the card base. (Bottom right in above picture.)
Fold the long piece of Mint Macaroon cardstock where scored forming the outside card. Glue one of the smaller pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock to the inside and glue the DSP piece on the other small Very Vanilla piece. Then glue this onto the outside of the small Mint Macaroon card. (See picture above.)
Next, the small Mint Macaroon card on top of the card base so that it opens sidewise.
Using the Lovely You stamp set and Mint Macaroon ink pad, stamp the sentiment on the scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock. Then using two layering oval dies from the Stitched Frames Framelets, cut the stamped sentiment and the Guilded Autumn brushed metallic piece. Layer and glue these pieces. Add dimentionals to the back and attach to the front of the small Mint Macaroon card.
To finish the card, add three mint colored Holiday Rhinestones.
I hope you like this card and use the pattern for a variety of cards. Thank you to Tracey Bradley for the design. It's a quick card to make as you can cut several pieces of the cardstock and make several cards at one time. A package of five all occasion cards would make a lovely gift.
Continue to check back on Friday's for more Fancy Fold cards. If you use this pattern to make your special card, I'd love to see a picture of it. And as always, keep crafting!
